With And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn now in theaters, let’s check out how the Birds of Prey cast celebrated with the DC Universe fans. At a special appearance in New York City, the Times Square attendees were surprised when the Birds of Prey themselves visited their theater.
As we previously mentioned, it’s open season on Harley Quinn when her explosive breakup with the Joker puts a big fat target on her back. Unprotected and on the run, Quinn faces the wrath of narcissistic crime boss Black Mask, his right-hand man, Victor Zsasz, and every other thug in the city. But things soon even out for Harley when she becomes unexpected allies with three deadly women — Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya.
Here are 5 reasons we love the Birds of Prey fan celebrations:
5) The Special Screenings!
Ahead of the theatrical release, DC Universe hosted special screenings for fans in about 30 cities across the country. At the one of those screenings, there was a special appearance by the cast meeting with fans dressed up as their favorite characters.
4) The Cast!
On February 4th, 2020, many Times Square attendees were dressed up as the popular characters. Everyone there joined in on the fun to celebrate the Clown Princess’ latest film. Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn)l, Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Huntress), Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Black Canary), Rosie Perez (Renne Montoya), Ella Jay Basco (Cassandra Cain) and Ewan McGregor (Roman Sionis) joined fans to celebrate the team’s big-screen debut.
3) The Collectible!
DC Universe hosted fan screenings in 30 cities across the country. At participating locations, DCU members were gifted with a one-of-a-kind Birds of Prey collectible pin of Harley Quinn’s mallet.
2) The Femme Force Team!
We also mentioned, DC Universe is offering its audience the most memorable comic stories, episodes, and animated movies featuring the film’s fierce fighting females — from Black Canary to Renee Montoya to Huntress.
