Velis Luz, Luz

Screen Media delivers the breathtakingly experimental supernatural thriller, Luz, starring Luana Velis and Julia Riedler. Writer/director Tilman Singer has put together a jaw-dipping German arthouse horror movie that truly must be seen!

A young female cabdriver (Luana Velis) drags herself into a run-down police station. However, a demonic entity has followed her there too. The demonic entity is determined to finally be close to the woman it loves.

Here are 5 reasons why you should see Luz:

5) Luana Velis!

Luz

As Luz Carrara, Luana Velis is fantastically compelling to watch. Watch as Luz (Veilis) physically narrates how she ended up in a cab, moving her legs and arms to recreate the moment. Unbelievably hypnotic, audiences will be unable to look away from Luz (Veilis) as she becomes drawn to the demonic entity.

4) Julia Riedler!

Julia Riedle is unsettlingly erotic and captivating as her character, Nora Vanderkurt, seduces Dr. Rossini. Watch as Dr. Rossini (Jan Bluthardt) becomes extremely tense as the possessed Nora (Riedle) describes Luz’s rebellious schoolgirl experience. Riedle is amazing to watch as she expresses so much emotion with her reactions.

3) The Music!

Luz

The brooding synth score composed by Simon Waskow is quite infectious to the ears. The pulse-pounding drumbeats have a repetitive and memorable rhythm. Waskow’s score captures the creepy ambiance and the suspenseful atmosphere.

2) Tilman Singer!

Notice how the narrative jumps back and forth between the police station and the nightclub. Writer/director Tilman Singer cleverly tells two stories happening at the same time, switching back and forth between Luz and Nora’s perspectives.

1) It’s Amazing & Unsettling!

Overall, Luz will be able to hypnotize viewers with its mesmerizing score and knockout performances. Fans are going to love what Luz adds to the horror genre.
