Asylum Entertainment has unveiled the first teasing photos from their upcoming Monster Island ( a.k.a. Monster Bash), starring Adrian Bouchet and Natalie Robbie. Giant monsters will take no prisoners as they come rampaging across, unleashing their hellbent fury.
As the world tries to stop a giant Kaiju bent on destruction, more and more monsters appear — each one more terrible than the last — leaving mankind defenseless until our heroes reach out to a specialist versed in monster lore.
Here are 5 reasons we’re excited for Monster Island:
5) The Ensemble Cast
The cast includes Adrian Bouchet, Natalie Robbie, Chris Fisher, Donna Cormack-Thomson, and Margot Wood. The flick also features special guest star appearances from Eric Roberts and Toshi Toda. Along with Monster Island, Toda will also be seen in the upcoming The Great Buddha Arrival.
4) The Locations!
According to SciFi Japan, the monster movie was shot in a variety of locations. Viewers will see the multiple massive kaijus battling for supremacy. Filming took place over in South Africa, New Zealand, and Los Angeles.
3) The Crew!
Director: Mark Atkins
Writer: Mark Atkins
Editors Marq Morrison, Erica Steele, and Mark Atkins
Visual Effects Supervisor: Glenn Campble
2) The Visual Effects
As reported by Horror Fuel, the visual effects were supervised by Glenn Campble, who also worked on several of the Sharknado franchise and Syfy’s horror drama, Z Nation. With the cast looking great in these photos, I can’t wait to see what the giant monsters look like!
1) The Photos!
From what I can tell from the photos, this cast looks like they’re in the middle of the desert and on the run. From the expressions on their faces, the cast looks like they are reacting to something! They are definitely scared of something!
Monster Island will be released during Summer 2019.
