Rowena Bentley, Winterskin Trailer, High Octane Pictures

High Octane Pictures and Dark Temple Films deliver a twisted and bloody winter survival tale with Winterskin, starring David Lenik and Rowena Bentley. Writer/director Charlie Steeds captivates audiences right from the start with his chilling frostbitten frightfest!

Gunned down in the snowy wilderness and desperate for shelter, Billy Cavanagh (David Lenik) is taken in by kooky old lady Agnes, unaware that her isolated log cabin is being stalked by a bloodthirsty skinless creature hellbent on getting inside.

Here are 5 reasons we love Winterskin trailer:

5) David Lenik!

David Lenik does an amazing job with Billy Cavanagh, who struggles to find strength after getting shot. Physically unable to move fast, Billy (Lenik) has to suffer at the hands of a manipulative and isolated recluse. Lenik captures the emotional turmoil of a wounded man facing a dark secret from his past.

4) Rowena Bentley!

Rowena Bentley just lets loose with her role as Agnes. Notice how Agnes (Bentley) starts off as an oddball before letting herself become full crazy psycho. Bentley and Lenik are at the on of the  A-game as they share the screen together, firing psychical and mental shots at each other.

3) Red Man!

This is my favorite sequence in the whole movie! I love the suspense and action as Billy (Lenik) races to load up his rifle. Something horrible is coming at him from the freezing snow. The special effects makeup by Kate Griffiths is outstanding at creating something hideous and ooey-gooey.

2) The Director!

Writer/director Charlie Steeds keeps the camera on his wonderfully performed two-person thriller. The suspenseful action is an added bones to the riveting drama. Without spoiling too much, the cinematography by Michael Lloyd captures the choreographed action sequence in slow motion.

1) A Suspenseful Thriller!

With two great leads, Winterskin is an intense character-driven survival thriller! This is a great horror flick to put on during the snowfall!

Winterskin arrives on May 21st, 2019 on digital.
