Just before the highly anticipated Season 3 premiere, NBC has released a brand new action-packed trailer for Blindspot, teasing its “global” scope. After the shocking Season 2 cliffhanger, Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) are back together solving the cases behind her mystery tattoos.

As we previously mentioned, Blindspot follows Jane Doe (Alexander), who has no memory of who she is. Jane’s only clues are covered all her tattooed body. With the help of FBI agent Kurt Weller (Stapleton) and his Critical Incident Response Group, Jane has to figure what the mysterious tattoos mean before a major disaster occurs.

[SPOILERS AHEAD] Here are 5 reasons why Blindspot going “global” means business:

5.) New Tattoos!

In the season two finale, time passed since Kurt and Jane stopped Sandstorm’s grand plan for Phase Two. They may have stopped Phase Two from being completed but Jane’s glowing neck tattoo warns them another sinister plan is in the works. A new set of bioluminescent tattoos on Jane’s body leads the team around the world.

4) A Globe-Trotting Team!

The third season premiere kicks the action off in beautiful Venice, Italy. Subsequent episodes were filmed on location in Italy, Spain, Australia, and Morocco. In the newfound footage, Alexander states, “No matter where we’re shooting, we really showcase where we care.”

3) A James Bond Level Scope!

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, creator/showrunner Martin Gero explains the epic scope of the globe-trotting adventures, “I can’t announce the next few places because they’re not confirmed, but the show will have a Bond level scope this year. We really are going to crisscross the globe and we’re going to show it off in a way that’s pretty extraordinary. That’s not something really that I think any show on network television has been able to do and do consistently. We’re really going to be able to really take our viewers all across the globe in the most extraordinary way.”

2) The New Big Bad!

Who’s the new threat this season? Has Roman (Luke Mitchell)  become the new Big Bad? Will Jane and Weller be able to stop him if he’s no long Mr. Nice Guy?In the footage, Mitchell explains how the fight scenes have a realistic vibe, “Shooting on locations adds a film-like quality.”

1) What Happened To Weller’s Team!?!

In the shocking cliffhanger, Weller reveals Tasha (Audrey Esparza), Edgar Reade (Rob Brown), and Patterson (Ashley Johnson) have gone missing! They have been kidnapped and need to be rescued! How the hell did that happen!?!

Season 3 of Blindspot starts on NBC October 27, 2017 at 8pm.
