From Alex Cormack and Ryan K Lindsay, Stain The Seas Scarlet is an imaginative one-shot blend of spacesuit noir, a revenge drama, and crappy robots. As a standalone, readers can jump right in with this one-shot comic on Kickstarter.

The 22 page color comic follows Yelena, a resistance leader on a distant planet. She has to play one last hand against the crappy robots that are tearing her entire world and life apart. On the loose in space, will she be able to defeat the robot terraforming army?

Here are 5 reasons why we’re excited for Stain The Seas Scarlet  on Kickstarter:

5) Beautiful Canvas!

We loved every issue of Lindsay’s previous work with artist Sami Kivela on Beautiful Canvas. This must-read comic sounds like a ‘70s revenge sci-fi flick; it’s insane! We’re very excited to see what Lindsay’s next project is all about!

4) Sink!

Alex Cormack illustrates the vicious new crime series, entitled Sink. Cormack’s drawings featured an onslaught of knife-wielding youths, a fox-masked vigilante, and a nightmare lurking in a blue van. And this is the guy who’s going to draw Stain The Seas Scarlet!

3) The Stretch Goals!

After the basic pledges, then the deluxe pledges, there will be some high quality Stretch Goals that need to get unlocked. Not only will readers get a chance to unlock a Variant Cover in print, there will also be script-books, essays, and the must-have collection of I Play The Bad Guy from Cormack and Andy Arnott.

2) The Audio Commentary!

The best of the Kickstarter packages is the “Audio Commentary’” from the writer himself. Full of insight, readers will get the PDF backed up with extra material. The bonus includes essays, lists, process material, and the full script.
