Horror and music lovers should definitely attend Astronomicon 2019 to get Twiztid Haunted High-Ons: The Darkness Rises #1 (Source Point Press), featuring the return of fake ghost hunters, Jamie Madrox and Monoxide. Check out this sneak peek at the first issue covers from the comic book starring Twiztid, the horrorcore rap group from Detroit, Michigan.

Upon learning that ghosts and demons are real, rap stars Madrox and Monoxide (collectively known as Twiztid) have begun to take the idea of ghost hunting with their new spirit companion Felicia a lot more seriously… or at least as seriously as the two fun-loving jokesters can. However, as The Darkness rises around them on a house call gone wrong, they quickly find what’s happening is no laughing matter!

Here are 5 reasons why we’re excited to get Twiztid Haunted High-Ons: The Darkness Rises at Astronomicon:

5) The Evil Snowman!

If you are considering attending the convention, attendees should grab one of the limited VIP Packages, which includes the Astronomicon exclusive “Evil Snowman” Variant Cover! That’s right, Jamie Madrox and Monoxide are fighting an evil Frosty the Snowman, aka Jack Frost, on the cover!

4) Kevin Eastman!

Are you a huge fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles like I am? TMNT creator Kevin Eastman  will be illustrating a black and white variant cover that you definitely have to grab.

3) The Team!

Alongside Manning, Artist Marianna Pescosta and Colorist Alessandro de Fornasari will be back again as the creative team. Together they have able to embrace the ingenious horror/comedy premise and make the comic enjoyable.

2) Twitztid’s Not Leaving!

Also at New York Comic Con, Jamie Madrox and Monoxide dished that there would be more issues coming forward.

JM: It’s to lay the premise for the characters and who they are and what they’re going to do in this universe.

M: We just got in the comic dorm.

JM: We’re just here! We’re not ready to leave!

M: We’re not leaving!

JM: Hell no!”

1) It’s A Party!
