In the second installment of Supernatural Dreams, the Allan family found themselves fighting against The Goat Man. With their father thinking of retiring, Dante and Vivian had to hold their own against the mysterious villain. If the two don’t put an end to the Goat Man, their monster hunting business is over!
4) A Dysfunctional Family!
Writer Steve Niles does a great job developing the father/daughter dynamic. Notice how Vivian talks back against her father, but there is still respect towards him. Like many others at his age, Fred Allan wonders how useful he is after retirement. What does it mean not to have a job?
3) The Artwork!
In the opening pages, artist Damien Worm captures the entire town of Gristlewood in a state of chaos. In an epic two-pager, we see a heart being pulled out of its chest and heads exploding. Dante doesn’t appear to be holding back as he unleashes his supernatural powers.
2) The Colors!
I love Worm’s use of the blue tones in the opening pages. Gristlewood has lots its electricity and the only light source comes from the moon and fog.

At its core, The October Faction: Supernatural Dreams #3 is about a dysfunctional family reuniting after drifting apart. I can’t wait to see how things shakeup in October Fraction!
