Events take unexpected twists as NBC continues the action-packed Season 4 drama of Blindspot with Episode 13: Though This Be Madness, Yet There Is Method In’t, starring Jaimie Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton. After the shocking events of Season 3, will Kurt Weller (Stapleton) solve the mystery tattoos before its too late for Jane Doe (Alexander)?
When we last left them off, Zapata (Audrey Esparza) asked for Reade (Rob Brown) and Boston (Josh Dean) to help her bring down Madeline Burke (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio). Jane was saved by stem cells after suffering the final stages of he ZIP poisoning. Patterson (Ashley Johnson) and Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer) discover Zapata hasn’t made contact from her sting operation.
Meanwhile, Zapata and Boston have no way to contact the others.Madeline wants Boston to hack into a computer system and bring down Air Force One. After being released from the hospital, Jane decides she wants to spend a romantic getaway with Kurt before going back to work.
Time ticks away for Boston to hack into Air Force One as the real Del Toro shows up. Madeline wants Zapata held captive while giving the order to kill Boston. Zapata manages to save Boston’s life but Del Toro gains access to the computers.
Jane and Kurt are on a romantic walk when they are retrieved by the FBI. They both filled in about Zapata’s plan and try to infiltrate Madeline’s office. Soon the team finally discovers Madeline’s plan is to hack into the computer system inside Air Force One.
Elsewhere, FBI director Matthew Weitz (Aaron Abrams) discovers he has been fired for insubordination. He also discovers that the plane he’s on, Air Force One, is going to crash. After getting into the cockpit, Matthew discovers the pilots have no control over their equipment.
While Boston serves as distraction, holding a fake bomb, Zapata beats the crap out of Del Toro and shoots down his goons. Boston leaves the building and makes a call to Rich, telling him they have control of the servers. With Air Force one saved, Zapata is just about to leave when the building explodes.
After going through the wreckage, Boston suddenly finds Zapata alive. Though Zapata left him, Boston gets a round of applause at FBI headquarters. Though Reade offered him a job, Boston turns him down.
With Madeline on the run, Zapata heads out to Zurich to get the incriminating evidence about Helios. She wants to prove to Reade that she really is on the side of good. Unfortunately, Zapata ends up attacked in the hospital.
A mysterious letter is dropped off at Kurt’s apartment. From beyond the grave, Shepard has left a puzzle for Jane to solve.
