USA Network premieres the final Season 9 of Suits, starring Gabriel Macht and Katherine Heigl, with Episode 1, Everything’s Changed. Find out how Harvey Specter (Macht) and Samantha Wheeler (Heigl) deal with the consequences with Robert Zane leaving.
After the fallout with Robert Zane, Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) is worried how the consequences will affect the firm. Louis is so stressed out that he doesn’t realize Harvey and Donna (Sarah Rafferty) slept together. In order for the firm to stay afloat, they would somehow need to keep all of Robert’s clients.
Robert’s clients are willing to stay unless a few demands are met. Because she is Robert’s protege, Samantha has to leave the firm though. Eric is willing to help with the clients unless Harvey makes a deal with him.
During her conversation with Louis, Samantha realizes Harvey and Donna were having an affair. On the night Samantha lost her mentor and friend, Harvey said he needed to be alone. While Samantha’s heart was broken, Harvey had hooked up with Donna during the night.
In order to set things right, Harvey and Samantha end up in the boxing ring together. Samantha lets loose her aggression, throwing jab after jab at Harvey’s face. All she wants is for Robert Zane’s name to stay on the wall.
Louis’ wife, Sheila, pays a visit to Katrina (Amanda Schull) and tells her to make a move. Katrina has to convince Louis to take Robert Zane’s name off the wall. Sheila then warns Katrina to stay away from her husband because she’s a younger version of herself.
Alex (Dulé Hill) is also on board with taking Robert Zane’s name off the wall. The N.Y. Bar Association wants to make him Managing Partner at the firm but Alex doesn’t to take the job away from Louis. Knowing it will take three votes, Louis admits it will take some convincing for Harvey to take down Robert’s name.
Donna pays a visit to Samantha to apologize. She’s sorry for choosing someone else of the firm, costing Robert Zane’s forced retirement. Samantha reveals Robert didn’t leave because of Donna; he left because of something that happened in the past.
Harvey makes the decision to give up his clients to Eric, in order for the rest of Robert’s clients to stay. Louis gets to relax for a bit, knowing the firm will still stay afloat. Unfortunately, trouble is on the way as the N.Y. Bar Association takes over the firm.
Harvey and Donna have now moved in together at a new apartment.
Suits continues Wednesdays at 9pm on USA Network.
