Will Arnett, Lego Batman

Will Arnett voices the funniest superhero movie ever as The LEGO Batman Movie arrives on DVD and Blu-Ray thanks to Warner Bros. Arnett joins the comedic ensemble cast, which includes Rosario Dawson, Eddie Izzard, and Conan O’Brien, as they bring the heroes and villains of DC Comics to life as animated plastic bricks.

Before Batman (Arnett) can save the city from the Joker’s (Zach Galifianakis) hostile takeover, he may have to drop the lone vigilante thing. The caped crusader has to try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. It make take his sidekick Robin (Michael Cera) and his loyal butler Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) to show him a thing or two as well.

5. Will Arnett

The Arrested Development actor was a laugh riot when he played the Dark Knight in The Lego Movie. Having won over audiences and critics alike, the animated spin-off film was given the Hollywood green light. Interestingly, Arnett has to play an absurd Batman who can deliver the laughs and be brooding at the same time.

4.  Arrested Development Reunion

Michael Cera just understood what director David Lynch wants in an actor when he played Wally in Twin Peaks. In his throwback to Burt Ward’s version, Robin sees Batman as someone who can do no wrong. Eager to prove himself as a sidekick, Robin is desperate to go through to any lengths to get Batman’s acceptance.

3. Another Joker

The clown prince of crime has been played by Cesar Romero, Mark Hamill, Jared Leto, and Heath Ledger. Zach Galifianakis lends his comedic voice in this silly take on the super-villain. Though his plans have failed, The Joker just wants some recognition from the Batman and have him all to himself.

2. It’s About Family!

Even in the recent Rebirth arc, the Batman comics has focused on the theme of family. Because Bruce Wayne is an orphan, he yearns for a family of his own. The Bat-Family includes Batgirl (Barbara Gordon), Dick Grayson (Nightwing), Jason Todd (Red Hood), Tim Drake (Red Robin), Damian Wayne (Robin), and Jim Gordon. Even Alfred Pennyworth is seen by the Bat-Family as a (grand)father figure. I like that the animated feature highlights this message in the movie.
