WWE #11, BOOM! Studios

Full of striking artwork, WWE #11 (BOOM! Studios) impressively fleshes out the wrestling superstars beyond their physicality and dives into their passion. Readers will definitely get a kick out of the WWE’s over-the-top theatrics.

Roman Reigns has already battled The Wyatt Family and barely survived. Now, while on tour throughout Europe, The Big Dog is trying to mind his own business. Unfortunately being alone isn’t what his fellow former Hound of Justice Seth Rollins has in mind. Rollins is still looking out to push his buttons.

Here are 5 reasons why you should read WWE #11:

5) The Message!

Writer Dennis Hopeless goes back to what he started in issue #9; the meaning behind the cheers and the boos of the crowd. Hopeless reinforces the theme as the loud applause and jeers of the crowd have an effect on Roman Reigns. Does a professional wrestler need the approval of the crowd in order for his mind to survive this wrestling industry, which demands tons of sacrifices?

4) You Can’t See Him!

I don’t want to say much about the appearance of John Cena because it veers into SPOILER territory. But I will say that Hopeless delivers his best dialogue of the eleventh installment, straight out of Cena’s characterization.

3) The Artwork!

Artist Serg Acuña, with the assist by Tim Lattie, delivers the best imagery when it comes to the superhuman punching, the throws, and the takedowns. The colors by Doug Garbark highlight the European backgrounds, giving the narrative an international flair. It’s amazing how the illustrations pack such a wallop, especially when its down to the emotions.

2) The Guest Stars!

I have to say Bayley looks so adorable in her opening pages. Be on the lookout for The Miz, Sasha Banks, Enzo, and Big Cass inside this issue!

1) Always An Entertaining Read!

A highly entertaining fun, the WWE #11 jam-packs so much action all into one issue! I love how the comic takes readers into the headspace of the WWE superstars before the big match.
