Writer Fred Van Lente delivers a suspenseful and action-packed installment, while answering questions through flashbacks. The flashback allows readers to understand who Artisan really is, a spoiled rich kid who never lifted a finger to help anyone else. The lettering by Dave Sharpe emphasizes the ordeal that the entire team is facing; save Earth or allow the Big Bad to escape from his prison.

Artist Renato Guedes explores how Doctor Patience is messing with Artisan’s head by inserting himself into memories. Notice how the color red holds a special theme to Artisan’s flashback.
