After the DC Comics superheroes stopped Invasion!, the CW Network is putting together their superheroes in the highly anticipated crossover, Crisis on Earth-X. Now Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow find themselves caught up in a battle against their evil counterparts!
As we previously mentioned, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) bring their closest friends and allies to their wedding. Just before saying their I dos, things go awry when super-villains from Earth-X attack the ceremony. All of the superheroes band together with help from their super-friends like Citizen Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), The Ray (guest star Russell Tovey), and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh). Together they must take on their most formidable villains yet. Earth’s mightiest heroes – The Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), and The Flash (Grant Gustin), and White Canary (Caity Lotz) – lead their teams into battle to save their world.
[SPOILERS Ahead] Here are 5 reasons we’re excited for the Crisis on Earth-X crossover:
5) Best Wedding Ever!
A callback to the first crossover, The Flash vs. Arrow, Barry (Gustin) tells Oliver (Amell) that he can have happiness too. I love how the series allows these protagonists to grow and develop their bond. Question though, is Diggle not at the wedding because he’s taking care of Star City as The Green Arrow? Supergirl does a comic book move and slaps both hands, sending shockwaves across!
4) Earth X!
Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) mentions these super-villains from Earth-53. Earth-X will play a big role in the animated CW Seed series, Freedom Fighters: The Ray. In this parallel Earth, Germany won World War II and Green Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl are evil. If you notice on the poster, the counterparts have gas masks on their faces.
3) Give This New Relationship A Nickname?
Now that Alex Danvers (Leigh) has broken up with Maggie Sawyer, she needs a new love interest? Will White Canary (Lotz) be Alex’s rebound chick? We see them drinking and fighting together! White Canary even saves Alex’s life!
2) Jax’s Been Hit!
In Legends of Tomorrow, Martin Stein has been hinting about leaving the time-traveling because this is Victor Garber’s last season. Now we see Jax (Franz Drameh) in need of medical assistance! Will this crossover treat audiences to four weddings and a funeral?
1) He’s Back For The Last Time!?!
Is Citizen Cold (Miller) flirting with White Canary (Lotz)? Towards the end of the trailer, the Prison Break actor gets the deliver the funniest line, teasing, “I was talking to you.” Wentworth Miller also mentioned these are his last episodes as Captain Cold.
The Arrowverse crossover will air during two nights on the CW, beginning with Supergirl and Arrow on Monday, Nov. 27 at 8pm, and concluding with The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 8pm.
