Warner Home Video brings Supergirl: Season 2, starring the radiant Melissa Benoist and charming Chyler Leigh, onto DVD and Blu-Ray. Relive your favorite episodes from the popular CW superhero drama and watch the amazing special effects of a hero who can fly.
As we previously mentioned, the second season followed Kara Danvers (Benoist) as she teamed up with her famous cousin Superman (Tyler Hoechlin). The path for enemies and allies grew with the inclusion of Mon-El (Chris Wood) and James Olson (Mehcad Brooks) becoming The Guardian. The Girl of Steel found her friendship with Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) tested as an invasion from the skies threatened National City.

5. Superman!
Tyler Hoechlin delivered such a charismatic performance as Superman in the first two episode. More light-hearted and optimistic, Hoechlin evokes Christopher Reeves’ performance and puts his spin on the orphan superhero looking for a family. See if you can spot the Batman easter eggs too in those episodes!
4. The Guest Stars!?!
First, the original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, showed up as the President, who also happens to be an alien in disguise. Kevin Sorbo (Hercules: The Legendary Journey) and Teri Hatcher (Lois and Clark: The Adventures of Superman) dropped in as Mon-El’s parents. Benoist and Hatcher have the fight scene of the entire season!
3. The Crossovers!
Supergirl showed up in the first installment of the Invasion! crossover with Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow. Then the former Glee starlet showed off her musical chops in Part 1 of The Flash/Supergirl musical crossover. Don’t worry! Each crossover episode serves as a standalone!
2. The Relationships!
In most touching scene of the second season, Alex Danvers (Leigh) proposed to her girlfriend, Maggie Saywer (Floriana Lima). Whether or not you liked him, Mon-El (Chris Wood) served his purpose. But like many fans, Kara doesn’t need him; she needs to hook up with Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath)!
